Flights to Antarctica & Cruise

In the morning we will take a flight to Puerto Natales and spend the night inside Torres del Paine National Park. There are many ways of enjoying this Park.

There are many activities and excursions to enjoy Torres Del Paine. But the trail to “Base de las Torres” is one of the most iconic hikes in the Park.

After some morning hike or horse ride we will go to Punta Arenas. The distance is around 300 km. The adventure starts already upon your arrival in Punta Arenas, southernmost city in Chile. The local staff will receive you and bring you to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will have the induction and first theoretical approach to enjoy the days to come in the best possible way. The meeting’s purpose is to evacuate all the doubts and to provide with all the relevant information about your voyage (safety, guidelines, etc). Afterward, we will enjoy a delicious regional dinner! Getting ready for tomorrows flight to Antarctica!

We will take a 2-hour flight from Punta Arenas to King George Island (South Shetland Islands). Time to explore the surroundings (the stations Chile’s Frei and Russia’s Bellingshausen). Then we will board a Zodiac that will lead us to the Cruie Ship.

During these days we will be navigating between the South Shetland Islands and the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. We will go through fjords and icebergs, surrounded by the amazing company of penguins, sea birds, whales, and seals. We will do daily landings, guided by expert guides. During our time inside the ship, we will have the chance of attending to lectures and presentations, or just enjoying the spectacular views.

The key to success in Antarctica is the flexibility, therefore the itinerary will be set according to the opportunities offered by Nature. Some of the sites that we usually visit are the Paulet Island, Port Lockroy, Hope Bay, Petermann Island, Deception Island, Paradise Bay, the Lemaire Channel, and other great places.

Back already at King George Island, we will have our farewell from Antarctica and fly then to Punta Arenas. Transfer to the hotel, and time to rest or enjoy at leisure. Overnight stay in Punta Arenas.

End of the tour, and optional extensions to Bariloche, El Calafate, or Ushuaia. We strongly recommend our travelers to take advantage of the visit to enjoy as well the main highlights of Southern Patagonia.
