Full of colors and contrasts, with Inca’s reminiscences and adobe houses that seem to be an extension of the earth, the Northwest (La Rioja, Catamarca, Tucumán, Salta and Jujuy) is considered one of the most complete attractions of Argentina. The arid Puna with its Llamas and the Salt fields (Salinas Grandes), Cachi with its Cactus, Quebrada de Humahuaca with the indigenous communities and the magnificent Hill of Seven Colors, are just some examples of it. On the other hand, the North of Argentina (and the southern tip of Brazil) have also something that we can’t avoid mentioning: the Seventh Natural Wonder of the World (Iguazu Falls). Formed by hundreds of cascades and surrounded by tropical forests, the impressive Iguazu Falls are spread along the Iguazú River, shared by Argentina and Brazil, about 20 km from Puerto Iguazú, in the Province of Misiones. The idea of this tour is to visit both areas: Iguazu and the Northwest of Argentina.
The Northwest of Argentina is full of contrasts. The color of the hills in Humahuaca Gorge (so intense that you can distinguish the different layers from many miles away) or the salt fields above the clouds, are just some of them. Don´t miss to explore the culture, with its remarkable indigenous influence and the exquisite local cuisine. It´s going to be our pleasure to help you to plan your own adventure!
