Ushuaia is the platform to experience what is like being at the End Of the World. The biodiversity of the National Park, the trees twisted by the wind in Península Mitre, or the sights on the Beagle Channel, make this place unique. Give yourself the time to explore this region, it’s going to be our pleasure to help you to create your adventure!
The transfer will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel.
At night we can arrange a Tango Show or The Argentine Experience for you to have fun and learn about Argentinian culture.
Early transfer to Buenos Aires domestic airport. Flight to Ushuaia and transfer to the hotel.
After leaving our luggage in the hotel, we will start our boat tour on the Beagle Channel, visiting the lighthouse, sea lion island, bird island and hiking on Bridges Island.
We leave the local port with a small group of passengers in the direction of Alice Island to see the colony of sea lions; we continue to the Birds Island, inhabited by the king and imperial cormorants. Nearby, we enjoy the view of the Rock Cormorants on the cliffs.
Then, we navigate towards the Sea Lions Island to see them as well as fur seals. Finally, we visit the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse, which was built in 1919. It is the real symbol of the city.
Going back, we disembark on Bridges Island for short trekking. During the walk, we discover flora and fauna. On this island, we can see archaeological rests of the Yamanas, the aborigines, who lived here many years ago.
Along the trip, we share a snack, which includes tea, warm chocolate, coffee, biscuits and, of course, the typical Argentinian Mate.
At the end of the excursion, transfer back to the lodge.
After breakfast, pick up from the lodge. We will start our day with a visit and trek in the National Park.
This is the ideal excursion to get to know the southernmost park in the world in the best possible way.
Throughout the excursion, we are closely in touch with nature and the tranquillity that it conveys. In our departures, we stroll along with the principal and most important trails in the National Park. Anybody willing to join us can do it, regardless of the age, since the paths we trek through are of low difficulty.
In half a day we would´ve walked enough to have a special and unique impression of the Fuegian ecosystem. Our well-trained guides will pass on to you all of their experience and passion for these surroundings giving away a once in a lifetime experience. Lapataia Bay, Roca Lake and Ensenada Bay will be the southern spots we will introduce you to during this unforgettable excursion.
Optional: those who like enjoying nature in a more relaxed way, have the option of getting a 7 km (1 hour) ride on board of the End of the World Train. The southernmost (and former prisoner’s train) rail-way in the world, recreates its historic journey.
We will have lunch in the Park (box lunch Gourmet).
In the afternoon, we will head in the direction to the oldest ranch in Tierra del Fuego – Harberton Ranch, from where we will take a zodiac to the Martillo Island, right in the middle of the Beagle Channel. There we will find a colony of Magellanic and Gentoo penguins. These amazing animals gather every season (from November till March), sharing the area with other kinds of birds.

The trail starts in The Andorra Valley ar 150 m.a.s.l. We will walk through dreamy landscapes in the “Milk River Valley”. The name of this river is given by the color that water that melts from glaciers has. We will stop to enjoy the view and rest in “Laguna de Los Tempanos” translated as Ice Floes Lagoon.
After, we will border the lagoon to get closer to the Glacier which is at 800 m.a.s.l. It is not possible to ice trek in it because of the great number of cracks it has, but we will be able to walk inside some of them and the caves that are formed.

Tour Description
One of the most interesting activities to experience at the glacier is the tour that begins at Bajo de las Sombras pier, located approximately 4 miles away from the glacier. You will cross the Rico Branch on a boat (Nautical Safari), and navigate about 20 minutes in front of the glacier.
The landing is on the opposite shore and after a short walk, you will arrive at the shelter where you will receive a complete explanation about glaciation and the activity of the ice trek. After this, you will start a walk through the exuberant Magellanic forest.
This Minitrekking is particularly attractive because of the close contact you will experience with the glacier. You will be able to see the glacier’s summit. Some caves allow you to reach the very base of the glacier, as well as small internal deep blue lagoons. The views of the glacier’s wall and the lake are magnificent.
You will be able to walk on top of the glacier with our expert guides for over 2 hours.
The way back is a walk through the forest again, ending at the shelter. You will have one hour for lunch. After the Minitrekking, you will get abord your ship and return to Bajo de las Sombras’ port and the glaciers footbridges.
We will walk along the tracks and will make stops to take photographs. From the viewpoints we will see ice blocks of different sizes continually detaching from the glacier and falling into the water, causing a tremendous sound and amazing waves, which makes this view an unforgettable sight.
Transfer back to the lodge.
We’ll continue trekking the Andes, but now in another area: the Lake District. After breakfast, the transfer will take you to El Calafate Airport to take your flight to Bariloche. In Bariloche’s airport, you will pick up a car to continue as a road trip.
Today you will enjoy a Self-guided trek to Frey Refuge. When hiking in Bariloche, this trail is a must. We have two trail options from Villa Catedral, the ski resort. The normal route starts right from the Villa and it is a well-marked trail. This easy trail has 12 km (one-way) in which you will ascend 750 m.a.s.l. It takes around 4 hs one way.
The second option from Villa Catedral is by using the cable car of the ski resort. First, take the “Amancay” lift and then “Diente de Caballo” lift. You will enjoy amazing views of Rucaco Valley and Monte Tronador in the distance. From here you 10 km until reaching Refugio Frey through a medium-difficult trail. You can go down through the first option (12 km) and do not repeat trail.
There is a third alternative starts from Lago Gutierrez Camping and takes 12 km (return). You will ascend 1000m through an easy trail.
There are many activities to do in Bariloche. Here is a list of the main attractions:
A new province and also a new beginning. Chubut will welcome you to El Bolsón, known as a hippy town. An eco-friendly imprint, as well as a bohemian spirit, marks the identity of this Patagonian city.
Lago Puelo, located 16 kilometers south, it’s a great option during the entire year. Native Mapuche tribes still are living in this picturesque town. And here is where you’ll be spending the night.
Once again on board of your pick-up truck, you’ll have to jump to the Ruta 40 and take an exit to the provincial route 71. This route passes through Los Alerces National Park, more than 200 thousand hectares of nature. Also, some restaurants, camping, fishing areas, and lodges can be found nearby.
Today you will spend the night in the National Park.
Today you will have a free day to explore the park.
Today you will leave the National Park and head to Esquel, where you will leave the car in the airport and flight back to Buenos Aires.
In Buenos Aires, a transfer will take you to your hotel.
