Holidays in Bariloche and Mendoza

We will enjoy a full day city tour in Buenos Aires, which offers possibilities for everyone. All the city tours can be customized, on request, to your topics of preference.
A good sample for a traditional visit to the city could be the following one:
Downtown – We visit May Square, host of the most important political events of the country. May Avenue connects the Argentine Congress with the “Casa Rosada”, famous for its buildings that date back to 1880 – 1910.
San Telmo – It is the oldest residential district. The richest families of the city established themselves there since the 1600s. They suffered an epidemic of yellow fever and moved to the north of the city.
La Boca – The neighbourhood boomed in the 1800s thanks to the port. The port was the government’s main source of tax revenue. It was the Heart of Argentina’s export-led economic boom (1850 – 1930). “Boca Juniors” football stadium is one of the two most famous stadiums in Argentina. “Caminito Street, the most famous street, due to its vivid colours, and tango atmosphere.
Puerto Madero – When the Yellow Fever hit La Boca, the city authorities decided to build a new port, which was named Puerto Madero, alter its designer. This expensive project was executed and shortly after its inauguration, it was abandoned, since the shallowness of the water obstructed the passage of the increasingly large ships. The docks of this port were abandoned for decades until in the 1990s, a major urban development Project transformed them into modern buildings, which are now a major attraction of the city.
Retiro – It is a major transportation Terminal and connecting point, especially for trains and long-distance buses. It Houses the tallest buildings of the financial and commercial centre of the city.
Palermo – This residential neighbourhood is known for its enormous parks. “Palermo Chico” known for its stylish residential mansions.
Recoleta – Its museums, cemetery and beautiful French style buildings make it the most distinguished neighbourhood of the city.At night Tango Show and Dinner

Early morning pick up to begin three hours driving through the Andes Range to Aconcagua Park. We travel around Potrerillos and Uspallata villages, enjoying a magnificent mountain, narrow canyons and panoramic mountain views.
We expect our arrival to Horcones (Aconcagua Park) at middle morning, there we start three hours walking into a magnificent landscape, following a narrow trail between moraines, glacier streams and massive mountains of Central Andes Range. In Confluencia we enjoy a mountain lunch with a fascinating environment surrounded. Once having fun and after recovered energy, we return to Horcones area to start the final drive down to your hotel.

Uco Valley is composed of the districts of Tunuyán, Tupungato and San Carlos, where you can find some of the best characteristics to cultivate certain grape varieties, mainly those that can adapt to the altitude. We will visit and enjoy wine tasting in two wineries and after lunch and wine pairing in another one.

We start at 8,30 am in your hotel at Mendoza City and start driving us during one and a half hour through the Andes Range to Cordón del Plata Park. We cross Potrerillos Village and the big dam, enjoying a
magnificent mountain view reflected in the water. After arriving at Vallecitos Ski Resort, we start hiking for two hours to Veguitas Camp, we follow a meandering upward path in a breathtaking mountain panoramic view. At Veguitas Camp, we enjoy a mountain meal, with traditional pasties and Malbec Wine, in a magnificent environment surrounded by huge peaks. Once having fun and after recovered energy in the camp, we descent to Vallecitos Ski Resort to start the final drive down to your hotel. We expect to arrive in Mendoza City at 4 pm, achieved a unique and unforgettable experience in Nature.

After finishing your beautiful holidays in Mendoza, we’ll enter in the Patagonian world. Early transfer to the airport and flight to Bariloche.
In the afternoon, we will visit some fantastic viewpoints (Short Circuit):
In spite of being one of the shortest excursions of the region, it contains corners which deserve to be known. We set off from Bariloche along Bustillo Avenue, skirting the amazing landscape brought about by Nahuel Huapi Lake.
At km 8 you find Playa Bonita, where you can see Huemul Island. Ten kilometres ahead we reach the foot of Cerro Campanario. There is a chairlift which takes the traveller to the peak (1050.m), where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the region: you can see Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno lakes, El Trébol lagoon, San Pedro and Llao Llao peninsulas, Victoria Island, Otto, López, Goye and Catedral hills, and finally, San Carlos de Bariloche city.
Following Bustillo Av., passing by the surroundings of San Pedro peninsula, you reach Llao Llao. There you find San Eduardo Chapel, architectural jewel of the region, and on Nahuel Huapi Lake, the important Pañuelo port. Then we will see the golf courses, Angostura Bridge (over Angostura River which connects Moreno and Nahuel Huapi lakes, and Bahia López (bay) at the foot of the hill of the same name. Then you get to the bridge which crosses Moreno Lake in its narrowness and you start to edge El Trébol lagoon.
Further ahead, at km 18, you find Bustillo Av. Junction, from where we go back to the city, closing this short circuit. You have here the option to insert a private excursion by boat. In that way you will be able to see other kind of views and enjoy a delicious tea in the mystic Winter Garden at Llao Llao Hotel.

We set off for the trailhead located at the base of Cerro Catedral, one of the largest ski areas in South America. From here we take the trail up to Van Titter creek through a regenerating forest. The trail becomes steeper and upon reaching the Piedritas hut we take a short break to enjoy the beautiful Beech forest. An hour later, we arrive at the Frey hut located in a glacial cirque at the foot of Laguna Toncek, surrounded by golden granite spires that draw climbers from around the world.

Today, we will go through the Lakes region, getting astonished by the amazing views along the way !
We travel along the RN 40 until we reach the Route 231, where we head west. Some stretches of the road skirts the Lake Nahuel Huapi, revealing the Cerro Cathedral in the background.
After passing by Puerto Manzano, we reach Villa La Angostura, a true mountain village, characterized by its meticulous and clean architecture. A few miles away, the 7 lakes road starts: lakes Espejo, Escondido, Villarino, Falkner ,Hermoso and Machonico, are just part of the beautiful landscape that remarks this region.
Once we reach San Martin de los Andes, on the shore of Lake Lacar , we will be able to explore the city and the main street. We return to Bariloche along the same path, or along Junin de los Andes road, according to the conditions of the road.

After breakfast transfer to the Airport and flight to Buenos Aires Domestic Airport. Transfer to the Hotel.
