Bahia Bustamante Lodge

Bahia Bustamante is a seaside lodge located in the south of Chubut Province in Patagonia.
Included in the Blue Patagonia UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and also considered an Important Bird and Biodiversity area, Bahia Bustamante is bursting with wildlife, with more than 16 kinds of marine birds and other species such as sea lions, dolphins, and Orcas as well as steppe species such as the and Patagonian Cavy, lesser rheas and guanacos, it is truly a paradise for wildlife lovers.
The Lodge
Originally founded as a seaweed settlement in the ’50s, the lodge has a total of 11 cabins, 6 of which are located by the sea. The sea cabins include full board and activities inside the property.
All the meals are served in the main lodge, located where the town had its old General Store.
The menu is based on seaweed, lamb meat, fish & other sea products, and fruits & vegetables from their organic garden.
Activities
Bahia Bustamante offers a great number of explorations and activities, such as navigations along Malaspina Cove, where you can visit the sea lion and Magellan penguins colonies, trekking, 4×4 and biking tours around the Peninsula Graviña, treks to the Petrified Forest, upon many others.
Location
The nearest airport is in Comodoro Rivadavia, 180 km away (2 hours by car). Trelew is located 250 km away (3 hours by car) and Puerto Madryn is 300 km away from Bahia Bustamante.
The lodge can supply private transfers at an extra cost or you can get there by renting a car.
Bahia Bustamante is a destination on its own, but it can also be combined with a stay at Puerto Madryn and Peninsula Valdes, where you can do whale watching and then stay at Bahia Bustamante to have a full wildlife experience without the need of traveling long distances to be able to spot most of the iconic animal species that leave in the Argentine Atlantic Coast.

The Estancia Rincon Chico is an exclusive property located in the southeast corner of the Peninsula Valdés with sixteen kilometers of coastline along the Patagonian Sea.

The 1923 mansion is part of a unique setting, made up of an infinite pebble beach, high cliffs, and fauna in their natural habitat, including its own Magellan Penguin and Elephant Seal colonies.
Evening walks, moments of reading in the tranquility of the house, the fire in the fireplace, and dinner in a family atmosphere, are also part of this magical place.
