This itinerary combines adventure, natural wonders, cultural experiences, and breathtaking landscapes. From astonishing views of the Aconcagua mountain to witnessing the constant movement of the Perito Moreno glacier as massive chunks of ice calve into the turquoise waters below, creating a symphony of cracking sounds. This adventure starts at your hotel in Mendoza city. Your transfer and guide will pick you up and take you to Horcones Valley, where the real Aconcagua trekking experience begins with a 3-hour hike to the Confluencia Base Camp, a favorite and perfect place for some of the world’s most skilled climbers. Mountaineers from all corners of the globe gather here, driven by the desire to conquer the summit of Aconcagua, the highest peak outside of Asia.
Today your guide will take you to the Plaza Francia viewpoint, through a 4.30-hour hike. Once you reach the place, you’ll enjoy a delightful lunch and take some time to relax, all while reveling in the breathtaking scenery that surrounds. Afterwards you’ll go back to the Camp on a 2 hour trek down, to enjoy one more night in paradise!
On the third day, we’ll embark on a serene descent to Horcones, take the transfer and return to your hotel in Mendoza.
Today your adventure continues with a wine tour! Departing from Mendoza, your transfer will pick you up and take you for a scenic drive to Uco Valley, in which you will enjoy panoramic views of rolling vineyards, framed by the majestic backdrop of the snow-capped Andes Mountains. Your wine tour will encompass visits to some wineries, where experts will guide you through the winemaking process, from grape cultivation to the art of wine tasting.
Return to Mendoza city after your wine tasting journey has concluded.
Time to fly! Your transfer will take you to Mendoza airport to take your flight to El Calafate. At your arrival, your transfer will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel. After your fresh up, you can take a walk along Avenida Libertador, the main street of El Calafate. Browse through local shops, boutiques, and souvenir stores and try some delicious Patagonian cuisine at the town’s restaurants.
This day you will experience the beauty of Perito Moreno Glacier! Early in the morning your driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you on a 1.30-hour drive to the Glaciers National Park. As you arrive at the Glacier, a sense of wonder will take your breath away. You will walk along the designated trails, allowing you to get closer to strategically placed viewpoints. The magnitude of Perito Moreno is truly remarkable, with towering ice walls glistening shades of blue. Also, you will embark on an unforgettable boat excursion! Sail close to the glacier and gain a unique perspective of its wonder.
Overnight at El Calafate.
Be ready early! Today you will be taken to the amazing El Chaltén. Situated at 214 km from El Calafate, this small town offers breathtaking vistas of towering mountains and crystal-clear lakes. During your stay, you can trek through the stunning trails of Los Glaciares National Park, as Laguna de los Tres where you will discover the iconic peaks of Fitz Roy. Furthermore, you can go to Laguna Torre where you’ll have beautiful views of Cerro Torre and its glacier.
Time to say goodbye to Patagonia! Today your transfer will take you to the airport at El Calafate to take your flight back to Buenos Aires.
