This Wildlife: Peninsula Valdes, the Wetlands & Iguazu Falls journey begins in Buenos Aires before heading to Peninsula Valdés, where you can observe incredible marine mammals and explore one of Argentina's most remarkable coastal ecosystems.

The journey continues to the Iberá Wetlands, one of South America's most important wetland ecosystems and a remarkable destination for wildlife watching. Here, you'll encounter countless bird species, including the world's largest stork, the jabiru, as well as emblematic species such as the capybara, caiman, marsh deer, and, with luck, the elusive jaguar.

Finally, you'll visit Iguazú Falls and the surrounding Misiones rainforest, where you can observe a remarkable variety of birds, coatis, capuchin monkeys, and other wildlife while experiencing one of Argentina's most spectacular natural attractions.

Arrival in Buenos Aires

Enjoy a half-day city tour of Buenos Aires, Argentina's vibrant capital, exploring some of its main highlights and historic neighborhoods.

Arrival in Puerto Madryn

A transfer will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport for your flight to Trelew or Puerto Madryn.

Peninsula Valdés

Early in the morning, you'll be picked up from your hotel for a full-day excursion to Peninsula Valdés. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, this extraordinary peninsula is home to numerous animal species and is one of the world's best destinations for observing marine mammals.

Punta Tombo Penguin Colony

Today, you'll visit Punta Tombo, home to one of the largest Magellanic Penguin colonies in the world and one of Argentina's most important wildlife destinations.

Arrival in the Iberá Wetlands

Early in the morning, you'll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Corrientes, with a connection in Buenos Aires.

Upon arrival in Corrientes, a transfer will take you to your accommodation in the Iberá Wetlands. After settling in, you'll have time to relax and begin experiencing the peaceful landscapes of this extraordinary wetland ecosystem.

Wildlife Exploration in the Iberá Wetlands

Today, you'll have a full day to explore the Iberá Wetlands and discover their exceptional biodiversity.

Depending on local conditions and the activities included in your stay, you can explore the wetlands by boat or other guided excursions, looking for capybaras, caimans, marsh deer, and a wide variety of bird species inhabiting this unique ecosystem.

The wetlands offer excellent opportunities for observing birds and mammals in their natural environment. Keep an eye out for species such as capybaras, caimans, marsh deer, and the numerous aquatic and grassland birds that inhabit the region.

Arrival in Iguazú

Early in the morning, you'll take a transfer to Corrientes Airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazú, with a connection in Buenos Aires.

Iguazú National Park, Argentine Side

In the morning, you'll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Iguazú National Park on the Argentine side of the falls.

Enjoy one of Argentina's most iconic natural attractions while discovering the extraordinary biodiversity of the surrounding rainforest. The park is home to a wide variety of birds, mammals, and other wildlife.

Iguazú National Park, Brazilian Side

Today, you'll experience Iguazú Falls from a different perspective. The Brazilian side offers spectacular panoramic views of the waterfalls and provides a unique way to appreciate their scale and beauty.

Salto Yasy Navigation

Today, we recommend an experience away from the larger groups that regularly visit the national parks.

A boat trip to Salto Yasy will allow you to travel along the Paraná River, visit this beautiful and secluded waterfall, and discover the lush Misiones rainforest.

Return to Buenos Aires

Transfer from your hotel to Puerto Iguazú Airport for your flight back to Buenos Aires.

Return Home

Enjoyable experience in Patagonia Beyond BA , especially Alvaro, our advisor, did a great job helping plan our itinerary in Patagonia. Only having to carry day packs on the hikes was a bonus and the camp grounds were comfortable and an experience in its self. There was 3 of us and Victoria secured us triple rooms when not camping. We had a fantastic time during the trip and everything was organised perfectly by Beyond BA. They gave us great advices on how to better organise the trip suggesting great locations.
