Mendoza: Land of Wines

After breakfast, we will start our trip to the Uco Valley, where we will be able to appreciate the vineyards and the beautiful landscapes of the area.

DESCRIPTION

Located one and a half hour from the city of Mendoza, on the foothill of Los Andes mountain range. This area has the highest potential of development in Argentina’s wine industry.

Your host will pick you up at the hotel heading to the Uco Valley region. Visit and tasting at Pulenta Estate Winery, we will visit the winery, with an amazing design and taste the wines in a special room.

Then, we will visit the amazing project The Vines of Mendoza, a project that allows individuals to buy a vineyard and make their own wine. The winery is very modern; we will visit it before going to have our lunch.

In this same place, the famous Argentinian Francis Mallmann decided to set Siete Fuegos, an open restaurant with an incredible view on the mountains, in great contact with nature, where the specialty is the Argentinian barbecue. Siete Fuegos means “seven fires” in Spanish. In this case, it describes seven different techniques of open flame cooking inspired by Argentine gauchos and European migrations – tested and refined throughout 12,000 years of history. Francis Mallmann combines history and technique with his unique taste and elegant style.

We will pick you up from the lodge in the morning, and we will go to Dominio del Plata Winery to meet with the chef.

This program has been prepared for those people who want to explore and learn the secrets of Argentine Cuisine. The chef, who will be exclusively with us, is going to tell us also about the traditions and customs of this culinary art, right as we taste wines of the winery. Besides, in order to complement the food, the chef is also teaching how to pair wine and food.

It is very important to know that in this exclusive class, you do not only watch but you also have the chance to participate in the cooking process.
