Welcome to one of the most spectacular places on earth, the remotest and coldest continent: Antarctica. Reach the end of the world, and fly over Cape Horn and the legendary Drake Passage until reaching Antarctica.
Among the different options to visit the White Continent, the Air Cruise rises as a great choice for those who want to avoid the navigation times from Punta Arenas/Ushuaia to the Antarctic Peninsula. The main Air Cruise circuit is the Classic-Antarctica, which is a combination between a return flight from Punta Arenas to King George Island, and a navigation on-board the Ocean Nova or the Hebridean Sky ships. Naturally, during the stay in Antarctica the travelers have different landings.
Antarctica triggers so many feelings that it’s difficult to process them all at once. The days before the expedition you feel excited and kind of worried, thinking if the weather conditions will be ok, if you will be feeling well, etc. Then, when the tour starts, all those thoughts are left behind, and the power of the immensity surrounding you doesn´t let you think in anything else than to be “here and now”. We invite you to plan this adventure together, and we extend the invitation to plan the rest of your trip in Argentina and Chile as well, so you can think only in enjoying your experience!
Custom must always be personal. Tell us your style and requirements and we will manage the rest. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, Beyond BA can make it happen in style.
We count with privileged access to live authentic and unique experiences. Would you like to fish and cook your own Crab at a remote village? Would you like to see the falls from the sky? Let’s work together!
Our service is based on relationships, we live in Argentina, we know locals, we are locals. We like to treat our clients as if they were our close friends guests in our countries. Get ready to enjoy!
The adventure starts already upon your arrival in Punta Arenas, southernmost city in Chile. The local staff will receive you and bring you to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will have the induction and first theoretical approach to enjoy the days to come in the best possible way. The meeting’s purpose is to evacuate all the doubts and to provide with all the relevant information about your voyage (safety, guidelines, etc). Afterward, we will enjoy a delicious regional dinner! Getting ready for tomorrows flight to Antarctica!
We will take a 2-hour flight from Punta Arenas to King George Island (South Shetland Islands). Time to explore the surroundings (the stations Chile’s Frei and Russia’s Bellingshausen). Then we will board a Zodiac that will lead us to the Cruie Ship.
During these days we will be navigating between the South Shetland Islands and the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. We will go through fjords and icebergs, surrounded by the amazing company of penguins, sea birds, whales, and seals. We will do daily landings, guided by expert guides. During our time inside the ship, we will have the chance of attending to lectures and presentations, or just enjoying the spectacular views.
The key to success in Antarctica is the flexibility, therefore the itinerary will be set according to the opportunities offered by Nature. Some of the sites that we usually visit are the Paulet Island, Port Lockroy, Hope Bay, Petermann Island, Deception Island, Paradise Bay, the Lemaire Channel, and other great places.
Back already at King George Island, we will have our farewell from Antarctica and fly then to Punta Arenas. Transfer to the hotel, and time to rest or enjoy at leisure. Overnight stay in Punta Arenas.
End of the tour, and optional extensions to Torres del Paine, El Calafate, or Ushuaia. We strongly recommend our travelers to take advantage of the visit to enjoy as well the main highlights of Southern Patagonia.
